My Box of Bits

As a crafter of any type, we end up with left over bits, projects half done, and pieces we were going to use in a project, but changed things up and did not. In one of my posts I mentioned I had gathered up all those bits and pieces to make them into cards. While I did use some bits at my last Girls Get Away Weekend, I still have lots of goodies in my box, so I’m going to try to pull some out on a regular basis and make them into something!

One More For #simplestamping

I have had fun making some #simplestamping cards with the retiring In Colours. Today my card combines my two favourite retiring In Colours, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig, along with one of my favourite fun stamp sets, This Little Piggy. I’m so happy that this stamp set will still be available when the new annual catalogue comes out. It makes great happy and fun cards.

I find making handmade cards is a great way to relax, and when you give someone a hand made card you share joy and love. What a perfect combination. I spend a lot of time at the cottage in the summer, as does my neighbour out back, so for Margo's birthday card I wanted to make a card that reflected the beauty that we enjoy all summer. Here is the card I made for her.

You Are Wonderful

Do you believe in love at first sight? If you are a crafter, you have probably fallen in love many times when you first saw a new craft product!! That was how I felt when I first saw the Nature's Poem Suite. The Rooted in Nature stamp set has some beautiful images of trees and leaves. The sentiment stamp Be Strong Be Happy Be You is one of my new favourites, and the coordinating Nature's Roots Framelits Dies make cutting and designing with these images super easy.

Summertime, Time to Relax

It is now officially summer, so it's time to relax!! It's a nice thought don't you think? I know the days can still be busy, as we head off to work or school, but the school year is almost over, and we are getting to the time where families take vacation. Even if you are planning a 'stay-cation' it is a nice time of year to relax and enjoy being outside. Let my card take you away for a little sit outside while you go through your day.

Cottage Critters

As most of you know, making cards is my first love when it comes to paper crafting. Sometimes though I spend my crafting time creating scrap book pages, and I love doing that as well. My albums are a mixture of Memories and More memory keeping pocket pages, and traditional scrap book pages. I love that I can mix both in one album depending on my mood.
For my project today I am sharing one of the traditional scrap book pages I made for the OnStage display board.
