Enjoy The Cottage

As part of a wedding gift, I gave some friends use of my cottage, and they are using it this weekend. I made this card to welcome them for their stay.

I love making customized cards for special occasions and events, so a ‘picture’ of the colourful trees and the lake at my cottage seemed perfect for this.
I used the Rooted in Nature, Waterfront and Good Morning Magnolia (sentiment) stamp sets for this card. To make my fall trees I sponged Daffodil Delight ink on the tree, then used sponge daubers to add Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze to one tree, and Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze to the other. I love how they turned out. They look just like the trees around the cottage.
I sponged the sky lightly with Balmy Blue, and used Crumb Cake to lightly sponge behind the trees.
A couple Gold Metallic Pearls on the sentiment banner, and my card was ready for giving.

There are so many ways to use and combine out stamps, and with some easy techniques you can create anything you can imagine.
