Rooted in Nature was one of the first new stamp sets I started working with, and I love, love, love it! I also love one of the In Colours from last year, Lemon Lime Twist. Since Rooted in Nature has a number of tree and leaf images, it seemed very natural to use Lemon Lime Twist for some leaves for this card.

The beautiful tree in today’s card is one of those images, and this one conjures up thoughts of sitting under the shade of a big tree on a hot summer day, enjoying a cool drink. My parents had Delft Blue everyday dishes, and my Mom had a wall covered in all sorts of Delft Blue plates. The new In Colour Blueberry Bushel reminds me of Delft Blue, and I love it. Paired with Whisper White, it makes stunning cards. For today I have added Merry Merlot as well.

The Global Design Project challenge this week is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) the Designer, and this week it is a lovely design by Charlet Mallett. She has a beautiful card with many wonderful layers, giving us lots of elements to play with for our CASE. Today I needed to make cards for two very special people, so I decided to CASE Charlet’s card twice!
