Sketch Me Some Tropical Bliss

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week.

I wanted to make a special card to send to my SIL. We all have busy lives, so we don't gather with family as much as we might like, but I think about her often, so I wanted to send her a card so she would know she's on my mind. A few years ago we travelled to the Bahamas together with my Brother. We had a glorious time in the Tropical Bliss of our resort. We did some sight seeing and tours, went to a parade, swam in the pool and the ocean, and enjoyed great meals and entertainment in the evenings. I have not travelled a lot, so for me, this really was paradise coming to life, and I was overjoyed to be sharing time with family. The card I made reminds me of that time we spent in the Bahamas.

I have had a piece of the Share What You Love SDSP on my desk for a few weeks now. I wanted to fussy cut some of the gorgeous flowers and use them on a card. Today's sketch seemed like the perfect opportunity to do that. I cut 3 pretty flowers from the paper and added a little hello greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. As I was deciding I wanted a tropical theme, I pulled out Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuca Bay to go with my Coastal Cabana back drop for my flowers. I tied it all up with some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon and I'm off on my Tropical Bliss Escape.
