Clean Up Friday

Here we are, my first Clean Up Friday post! Anyone who does any kind of stamping and paper crafting knows that there are always leftover bits, or pieces and elements that we thought would be perfect, but when we go to assemble our card we find that they just don't work. All these great bits and pieces end up on my desk, waiting for a perfect project to get added to. That is why I have decided to spend some time on a regular basis using some of these great items in a Clean Up Friday project. Here is my first Clean Up Friday card.

When I first got the Animal Outing Stamp Set and Animal Friends Thinlits Dies I stamped, coloured, and cut out a bunch of the animals. They were all so cute, I couldn't stop playing with them. As a result I had a number of animals on my desk, so it's time to use them on cards and other projects. I decided to keep this card simple, and found a Real Red Stitched Oval on my desk as well. It made the perfect back drop and frame for my giraffe. I added the Happy Birthday greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, and my card is complete.
I'm really happy with how my first Clean Up Friday project turned out. It was quick and easy to make, and it turned into a striking card ready to send!
