Connie's Craft Along

It took two tries, but I did host Connie’s Craft Along today! Thank you to all who stuck with me and came to hang out this morning. I really appreciate all my viewers whether it is live or on replay.

I shared and easy, but great layout with lots of options to change things up a bit while creating - as you may have seen with all my decisions during the event. :-)
Here are the pieces we started with:
Cardstock 1 - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Cardstock 2 - 5 1/2 x 2 1/4
DSP (Patterned Paper) - 5 1/2 x 2
Basic White c/s - sentiment piece OR you can stamp on your Card Base if it is a light colour
Stamps, ink, adhesive, embellishments

I kept the first card pretty clean, following my initial prep instructions. I used the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper for this card, along with the Gears & Textures Stamp Set. The sentiment is one of my favs from the Simply Said Stamp Set. If you don’t own this set, you should get it, it is one of my absolute go to sets.

For this card I wanted to make a non-Valentine card that could be used for Valentine’s Day, or just to let someone know you care about them. I used the Swirled Designs Bundle for this card. I went a bit outside the original guidelines and added a die cut interest element.

I also shared a version of the card that was portrait, rather than landscape. This is a great layout, and can work really well with either orientation.

I ended up with some extra pieces, so here is the “Bonus Card”!
