Sitting Pretty

I’m not sure if this is the same guy that was kicking up flowers in the garden, but for now he is certainly sitting pretty on my card!

I spent some more time playing with the Darling Donkeys stamp set. This is a stamp set you may choose for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration (SAB). Did I mention that SAB only runs until February 28th this year, so make sure you order soon so you can select all your favourite free products.

For this card I stamped the donkey on Basic White cardstock and coloured him with Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I also stamped him all over the Smoky Slate cardstock background. That is mounted on Basic Grey cardstock, and my card base is Daffodil Delight.

I wanted to cut out the donkey I had coloured to make him a focal point. I decided to use the Layering Ovals Dies, but he didn’t quite fit in the one I wanted to use. I turned the oval on an angle and it fit. I also thought it was a neat look to cut him at a bit of a jaunty angle, so this was perfect.

The sentiment on my card is from the Darling Donkeys stamp set, and I wrapped Bakers Twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack around the card and tied a bow above my sentiment.

And if you are wondering how I decided where to place my focal donkey on my card, well, he is over top of an area I didn’t stamp well!!!
