A Well Suited Christmas

I know tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, but with Covid keeping us at home for so long, sometimes it is easy to lose track of the days. So is it Christmas yet?
It’s not time to celebrate Christmas in July, but we did just do a “porch drop” of Christmas gifts with my daughter, so perhaps a Christmas card does belong here! Today I want to show you two cards for a Well Suited Christmas!

I have used parts from the Well Suited Suite to create something you may not expect from this suite of products, Christmas cards. The green trees on my card are the centre portion that is cut out from the suit dies. I embossed each of them and added them to a Silver Foil background that is embossed with the Evergreen 3D Embossing Folder.

Since I had used Silver Foil paper for my background, I also used Silver Powder and Heat Embossing for my sentiment, making for a shiny Christmas card.

My second card is a 4 1/4 inch square card. I used one the bow tie stamps from the Handsomely Suited stamp set along with my Stamparatus and circle template to create the wreath. The bow on my wreath is made from the second bow tie stamp, and the bottom of one of the tie stamps.

Making a circle or wreath pattern is easy with the stamparatus and a template. If you haven’t made one of the these you can get the instructions here. I love using this template to create unique patterns with my stamps.

I love finding creative ways to use a stamp set for cards that are different from what the original intention was. Who knew a masculine stamp set could make pretty Christmas cards!
Maybe today is the day you pull out a stamp set and create something completely different. Let your creativity flow.
