Hello Pumpkin

Hello Pumpkin! The September Paper Pumpkin box is so pretty, I will definitely use this one again! The deep burnt orange colour makes you think of Fall and all the wonderful colours that surround us in nature at this time of year.

While the box is pretty on the outside, the inside is FILLED with lots of embellishments to help you create crackers you can fill with candy or small gifts. There are so many fun pieces in this kit, and of course a stamp set and ink spot, it is hard to know where to begin.
I always start by making at least one project from the kit as per the instructions included, but after that it can quickly become a free-for-all for creating other projects.

This is one of the crackers I make as per the kit instructions. These would make cute table favours or decorations for Thanksgiving.
That said, I won’t be hosting a large Thanksgiving gathering this year, so I decided to move on from the crackers and created a couple of alternates.

I used my own card base, but all other items on this card are from the kit. I cut the edge off one of the cracker pieces and used it as my scalloped border down one side. The starburst is made from the diamond pieces that pop out when you make the crackers.

For this card I used the middle section of a cracker piece. They come scored to easily fold into crackers, so I ran the piece through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with one of the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders and takes out the old score lines as it add lovely texture to my piece. All the decorations on my card are from pieces in the kit, I just added some Gold Metallic Pearls to my flower centres.
I love getting my Paper Pumpkin kit delivered to my door each month, they are such fun. Regardless of the project in the instruction sheet, there are lots of lovely pieces all ready to go for a creative getaway. Even if you don’t care for a particular project, there are so many options it is easy to create what you truly love each month.

Click here to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and you too can get in on all the fun. Next month is Christmas cards. Can’t wait to see what they have for us this year!
