A Colour Challenge

I love participating in different card making challenges, I find they push me to try things I wouldn’t think of. Today is another example of that with a colour challenge. So Saffron, Rococco Rose and Mint Macaron. I love all three of these colours, but probably would not put them together in a card if someone didn’t tell me to!

This challenge is from the Global Design Project.

I decided to use the big flower from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. This gave me the opportunity to pull out my Stampin’ Blends and do some colouring. Always a fun activity! I coloured the flower with the Light and Dark So Saffron markers, the leaves with Light Mint Macaron, and the stem with Dark Mint Macaron, cut out with the coordinating die. I layered this on a piece of Rococco Rose card stock, with a piece of the 6 x 6 In Colour DSP gingham paper at the bottom. My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings, stamped in Mint Macaron, punched with the Label punch, and then I sponged the edges with Mint Macaron. Some Gold Metallic Pearls finished off the card.
