Over The Moooon!

I love the Over The Moon stamp set, the cute cows are so much fun to create with. I made this card for MSH (My Sweet Husband) to show him how much he means to me, and it is perfect for the Global Design Project theme challenge this week.

The challenge this week is a theme, Sun, Moon and Stars. Here is the banner for it.

When I saw the theme I immediately thought of using this stamp set, but I wasn’t sure at first what I wanted to do. I stamped the cow, and coloured it with my Stampin’ Blends, then added the moon. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake card stock. I thought about adding something further to the background around the cow, or some additional embellishments, but I really liked the way it looked with just a bit of the Braided Linen Trim. I often see cards posted in various places with lots of white space on them, but when I am creating, I often think they look too plain. Somehow this one seemed to work for me. I think all the white space makes my cow ‘pop’ and I really like the look. Maybe I am finally learning how to make beautiful cards with white space!!!
