Two-Tone Cardstock
Have you seen all the fabulous Two-Tone cardstock Stampin’ Up! offers now? It is 12 x 12, so perfect for scrapbooking. You can cut it any size you like and it is great for cardmaking as well. Two-tone cardstock has so much to offer! It’s an ideal layering option without adding bulk and its white core means you can tear, crumple, sand, and emboss your way to fun effects whatever your crafting skill level. Its smooth texture is great for stamping, clean cuts, crisp folds, and seamless colour applications.
Today I am sharing some of the fun techniques you can do using this great cardstock.
When you emboss this cardstock it breaks some of the fibres of the paper and the white core shows through. If you sand it, you will expose more of the white core and creating some great interest on your cardstock. This is Strawberry Slush cardstock and the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder.
For this card I used the lighter and darker sides of Cloud Cover and Misty Moonlight cardstock. I also tore the paper to expose more of the white core. The two-tones of each piece make it very versatile for layering.
You can use any embossing folder you like, and you can sand the embossed or debossed side of the cardstock for more interest and variety.
These are fun and easy techniques to add interest to your cards and scrapbook pages.
