More Fun With Mystery Stamping
Mystery Stamping is a super fun event where I provide clues and everyone interprets them how they wish to create a card. It is always fun to see what everyone comes up with, the colour and papers they use and how creative they are.
We start with Clue #1
CLUE #1 – Gather the following
Cardstock – 8 ½ x 5 ½ score @ 4 ¼
Cardstock or Patterned Paper– 5 ¼ x 4
Cardstock or Patterned Paper – 3 ½ x 2
(your choice for above 2 pieces, 1 c/s, 1 DSP, 2 c/s, 2 DSP – anything goes if you like it together!!)
3 Cardstock or Patterned Paper layers – these could be nesting die shapes, or hand cut. Make the smallest one Basic White to stamp an image on (or plan to die cut/fussy cut something)
Cardstock for sentiment – ½ strip or banner die cut
Stamps, ink, adhesive, embellishments
My card is portrait, but feel free to try it landscape!
The layout this time was all about the layers. Layering is a great way to add extra texture and elegance to your card.
After my first card I had to make a Christmas version! And since I suggested you could try this layout in a landscape version, I decided to do that too!
I always tell people that my clues are just the starting point to kick off their creativity. Just because I suggest layers, doesn’t mean you need to layer things on top of each other. Be creative, anything goes.
Whatever you end up with, it is always a craftacular time! Join my mailing list so you get your invite to our next Mystery Stamping night.
