Heron Habitat
When I first spotted the Heron Habitat bundle in the new annual catalogue, it was love at first sight!
We have Blue Heron’s at the cottage, so the image on the bottom left immediately caught my eye. As I paddle in my kayak, I often see our heron standing at the waters edge, and it is beautiful.
Here is my friend
I used the beautiful heron stamp with Smoky Slate ink, and then used a sponge dauber to add some Night of Navy to his feathers. I die cut him to add to my card to make a whole scene. The bulrush image is stamped in the same manner, using sponge daubers to add Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow to the stamp to create this image. The Designer Series paper from Happy Forest Friends makes the perfect backdrop for this card.
For this card I used two other bird image stamps, stamped with Starry Sky ink. The water and grass image uses the sponge dauber technique again to add some Soft Suede to the image that I had inked with Parakeet Party ink.
I used the Stamparatus Hinge Technique to stamp my sentiment in rows with Starry Sky and Parkeet Party ink.
So Much To Love
I mentioned that it was the one heron image that made we want this bundle right away, but as I use it, there is so much more to love. The images work really well together to create various scene types of cards, and the dies cut out the images, and also have additional pieces for grass bunches and 2 great sentiment box dies. This is definitely going to be one of my favs from the new catalogue.
