Happy Anniversary

January 26th was the 2 year anniversary of my marriage to MSH (my sweet husband). We celebrate each month, and I make a card for him, but this was an annual anniversary, so I wanted to make him a card that was a little more special.

I decided to use the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle for my card, to remind us of our honeymoon in the Dominican.
This card is a double gate fold style, and only has a cardstock back, the rest of the card base is the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper.
To create this gate fold, start with a piece of DSP cut 12 x 5 1/4 inches. Score at 2, 4, 8 and 10. Fold each side in, and back on itself.
From the top, measure down 2 inches and make a small mark. Cut from the second score line, diagonally to the mark, on both sides. The pieces you cut off are then glued to the bottom.

Adhere this to the card base. I used Seaside Spray, cut 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
My sentiment is from 2 stamp sets; Itty Bitty Greeting for the Happy Anniversary, and Well Said for the You Mean The World To Me. The sentiment is stamped with Seaside Spray ink, and the frame is Seaside Spray cardstock, both are cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I stamped sea shells from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set, and cut them out with the Seaside Seashells Dies. I layered them around my sentiment block, and adhere this to the left side (only!) of my card.

I used the largest Stitched So Sweetly Die to cut a piece of Basic White cardstock for the inside of my card. I love how pretty this is when it stands open.

This is a great way to show off our DSP with a gorgeous card, and the best part is you don’t need to pick a side to show, they both show!
