Stepping Up The Seashells

Today I have 3 cards to share with you, each one is a bit more stepped up, and uses additional products. Depending on your craft stash, find the card that suits your situation and let’s craft together.

This first card is easy to make, and uses only a few supplies, along with #simplestamping
In an effort to keep the supplies to a minimum, I used 3 colours of cardstock from the same family, Brights. These colours are perfect to create a tropical vibe for my Sand & Sea cards. You can order just one pack of assorted cardstock, and you will have all three colours for this card, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, and Gorgeous Grape.
I used Granny Apple Green to stamp seashells randomly on my card base, which is cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 and folded. My Gorgeous Grape layer is 2 3/4 x 4 1/2, and my Bermuda Bay layer is 2 1/2 x 4 1/4, stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink. The shell image and the sentiment are both from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set.

The second card uses the same colours of cardstock and ink, but this time the background is stamped on a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock, cut 4 x 5 1/4. I stamped the seashell on the Bermuda Bay piece, but put my sentiment on a scrap of Bermuda Bay cardstock and punched it with the Tailored Tag Punch.

I made a frame layer for my sentiment by punching a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock with the Tailored Tag Punch, and cutting it in half to enlarge it to create a layer. This is a great way to add extra depth to your sentiment piece.

I wrapped Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around my shell layers and background piece before adhering it to my cardbase, the added my sentiment with Dimensionals.

For the third card I used the same background layer of Granny Apple Green, but rather than stamping on it, I embossed it with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped some shells and plants on scraps of cardstock in Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape, using tone on tone, and cut them out with the Seaside Seashells Dies.

My sentiment is cut with the Layering Ovals Dies, and the sentiment is popped up on the frame with Dimensionals. I added a Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon bow, and a Pastel Pearl to embellish my card.
