Vellum & Alcohol Technique

Last night at our That’s Fancy event we played with the Vellum & Alcohol Technique. This is a fun technique to play with, trying different colours.

When you are doing this technique, you generally want to use the Dark marker from your Stampin’ Blends, rather than the light one. The intense colours tend to work better, as the alcohol dilutes them. I used Daffodil Delight, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends for this card. The Biggest Wish stamp set was perfect for a bold sentiment that would still let the background be the main act. The card is finished off a Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon bow and a Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot.

Playing with different colours is so much fun, and each piece is totally unique. Here are some other pieces we made.

It was another night with some technical challenges, gggrrrr, but here is the video that shows how to do this fun technique.

I had made some additional cards to show other colours (and because I was on a roll creating these!!)
