Peaceful Christmas Scrapbook Layout

The October Paper Pumpkin Kit made beautiful Christmas cards, but if you still have some of the kit that isn’t assembled, why not make a scrapbook layout with the contents of the kit, and some items from the coordinating Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I created the backdrop for my layout using some of the Peaceful Place SDSP. I cut the 12 x 12 paper from one corner to about 7 3/4 inches up. I did this from two opposite corners, leaving a strip from the centre that I flipped to the other side, and added across the middle of my layout.

I started with pieces from the kit, and created a number of elements that I would then play with on my layout. I used the sentiment layering pieces and sentiment stamp from the kit, and layered that on the Shaded Spruce piece with the silver trees. That’s an envelope I cut open!

I layered the silver ‘Noel’ on the envelope flap that I cut in a rectangle shape. The checked circle is another layer piece from the kit.

On this layout I added a sentiment box, and a photo box with a die cut from the Giving Gifts dies, cut from the Peaceful Place SDSP.

The second page of the layout has the negative from the vellum trees, framed with Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and layered on the pretty green check layer from one of the cards.

The card base with the black and white trees was cut in half, and one piece was used in this layout, layered on Shaded Spruce cardstock.

There is another photo box framed with Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce cardstock. I added another die cut from the Giving Gifts, and have Cherry Cobbler die cuts embellishing both pages of the layout.

So many of our Paper Pumpkin Kits has awesome elements for fun scrapbook layouts. Why not give it a try next time you are crafting.
