Flower Wave

I participated in a virtual crop last weekend. Oh what fun! It was great to see people I have crafted with in the past, and through the wonders of Zoom, it almost felt like we were crafting together. There were a number of challenges over the weekend, mostly scrapbook layouts, but I had decided I was making cards at this event. No problem, I just adapted the layouts to card sizes - which was a bit of challenge on it’s own! Here is one of my favourite layouts from the event.

I used the Flowers For Every Season 6 x 6 DSP for my card, and cut 3 x 1 inch strips for the wave. I then cut from one corner, to 1/4 inch in on the opposite end on both sides so my pieces would create a wave.

My sentiment is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set, stamped in Just Jade. The card is mounted on Just Jade witha Magenta Madness card base. The DSP features the new In Colours, and these are two of them. To embellish my card I added a piece of trim using the Forever Greenery Trim Combo, and pulling a few threads to create a ruffle look, along with some In Colour Enamel Dots.
Once I figured out the correct sizing for a card, this layout was easy to create, and I love the finished look of the wave of flowers. Why not give this layout a try and design your own wave!
