My Birdies Are Back

A huge flock of Canadian Geese flew over my house honking the whole time. It was so loud you couldn’t help but notice how many there were. It must be almost spring!! Another sign, and one that I prefer, is that all sorts of birds have returned from their winter down south and are coming to my feeder.
We have had lots of little birds, some blue jays and cardinals, along with some woodpeckers. They are truly beautiful to look at with their pretty colours, and wonderful to watch with their happy tweeting.

I made this card for the Global Design Project Challenge, and also to celebrate the return of my birdie friends. Here is the banner for the challenge this week.

The image stamp is from the Free As A Bird stamp set, and I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour them in some of the pretty colours of my birds. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings. I embossed my Old Olive backdrop with the Woodland embossing folder, and mounted it all on a Mango Melody card base. I used some Gold Metallic Pearls to finish it off.
I’m so happy the birds are back, they greet me every morning with their cheery hello. Watching them at my feeders is a great way to start the day.
