Hello Spring

Today it’s time for the SUO challenge, and the theme is Spring. Aren’t we all happy to say hello to Spring and some warmer weather? I know I am!! When I think of Spring, my thoughts turn to early bulbs bursting into bloom and adding some colour to our day. I love to see crocuses opening with their bright purple colour.

I used the Abstract Impressions stamp set to create my crocuses, stamping the flowers in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. My leaves are Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce. I had thought about stamping on my Whisper White background layer because you know I love making my own DSP, but when I layed the flower piece on top of the white I really like the bright, clean look it had, so my hand stamped DSP will have to wait for another card. I finished off my card with some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle and a greeting from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set, cut with the Layering Ovals dies and layered on Highland Heather card stock cut using a ruffled oval.
Doesn’t that make you think of a warm spring day? Leave me a comment below and let me know.
