Hello Birdies

One of the most popular suites in the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue is the Bird Ballad Suite. The stamp set Free As A Bird has wonderful sentiments along with lovely line images perfect for colouring. If it isn’t a colouring kind of day though, you could just use the line image for a card, or you could get some coloured birds from the pretty Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, as I have done!

I fussy cut the three birds on a branch along with their little flowers to create a pretty focal point for my card. But I didn’t stop there! I added a backdrop for the birds, and two vertical strips, all from the same package of DSP. The layout for my card was inspired by the Global Design Project challenge this week.

My background is Pool Party card stock, embossed with the Tufted 3D embossing folder, and I added 3 Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (from the Christmastime Is Here Suite) to add just a touch of sparkle.
