It's a Great Layout When . . .

We had a great layout for Connie’s Craft Along this week. Easy to put together, with some interesting pieces and layers, and when you change up your papers your get completely different cards. This layout is super flexible and I hope it will inspire your crafting.
Here are the pieces to start with:
Cardstock 1 - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Cardstock 1 - Die cut interest element (I suggest kind of long and narrow)
Cardstock 2 - 5 1/2 x 2 3/4 embossed - optional
Cardstock 3 - 4 3/8 x 2 5/8
Cardstock 3 - Circle (mine is 2")
Designer Series Paper - 4 1/4 x 2 1/2
Basic White or light cardstock - strip for sentiment
Stamps, ink, adhesive, embellishments

Here is the first card -

I used the Fern & Flora embossing folder and die cut for this card. The shiny Designer Series Paper is Splash of Sprinkles. The sentiment is from the Sunset Coast stamp set.

For the second card I changed the embossed cardstock layer to a piece of DSP. It is not as wide as the cardstock was as I was using up a piece that was already cut, but it still works great in this flexible layout. The papers and the gems are from the Cute As A Bug suite, and are fantastic for making fun cards and projects.
