Connie's Craft Along - Let's Get Messy!

We played with ink on blocks and water spritzing for Connie’s Craft Along this week. It creates some great background looks, and every one is different.

For this card I used Watercolour Paper. It allows the ink to seep into it to give great texture and interest. The more water you use, the more the ink will bleed into the paper.

For this card I used Basic White Thick cardstock. The colours don’t bleed as much, and there is a different texture to this one. The Designer Series Paper interest elements are from the Violet Dreams DSP. It is such a pretty pack of DSP, with soft colours and pretty images.

I had an extra piece of Watercolour Paper that I used for the demo, but then left to dry. This is the card I made with it.

If you were with me live, or watched the video (check it out below), you know I had a “mistake” piece left over. I decided to punch butterflies from it, and use them to embellish the inside of my cards.

This is so much fun, and these are just the starting inspiration. You can use different sizes blocks, overlap your block stamping, spritz the paper instead of the inked block. Let you imagination go and give it a try. Grab and pack of watercolour paper, some ink, blocks, and your water spritzer and have some messy fun!
