Coffee With A Splash Of Inspiration

My Coffee With A Splash Of Inspiration this week had an extra twist, but I have ended up with more cards, so it is all good. If you have watched my lives recently you have seen some of the projects I’ve made with my own Designer Series Paper. I love making my own DSP, in some of my favourite colours, using which ever stamps I choose. Today I decided to make some DSP again, and cut it a little differently.

I started with a square of Basic White cardstock, the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set, and 5 ink pads - Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Soft Seafoam. I stamped my images on the cardstock the cut it into 4 squares for this first card.

The second card used the same stamps, ink, sentiment and some of the style, but I made strips this time and turned the card to landscape.

Unfortunately (or maybe a happy mistake) the first piece I made to cut into strips I miss-cut one of the pieces so they were not all the same width strips. I decided to set it aside during my live, and finish a card with the pieces later. This is the card! I made a few more cuts to make all different widths of strips and used them for this card.

This final card is made with the very first piece I stamped as I was preparing for my live. I felt the sand dollar image was a little big and more open than I wanted, so I set this piece aside, but later decided to make it into a card as well.

So I started with a plan to make two cards, but ended up with four. They will make a lovely host gift now with a set of four cards. Just need a pretty box to put them in!
