Cottage Birthday

As many of you know, I spend the summer living at my cottage. There are a number of cottagers that celebrate birthdays over the summer months, and that means a special card is needed, reflecting the beauty of our lake and surrounding area.

There is nothing better than a sunny day on the water. Beautiful trees surrounding the lake, and perhaps a paddle in a kayak.
I used the Mountain Air stamp set for this card, stamping and stamping off the trees with Evening Evergreen ink. I used my Blending Brushes with Balmy Blue ink (sky, and water) along with some Misty Moonlight for the water. I had made a mask to allow me to add the bright sunshine, using Daffodil Delight and my Blending Brush.

I stamped some trees in Evening Evergreen and Old Olive, and die cut them with the coordinating Majestic Mountain Dies. My sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set.

Many cottagers know I also sell my cards, so there is a bit of a tradition starting for people on the lake to give my handmade cards for all sorts of occasions, and I love it!
It is so easy to brighten someone’s day with a beautiful card and I’m happy to help out.
