Sailing Home with Simple Stamping

Today is Simple Stamping, #simplestamping day in the craft studio. If you are one of those people that struggle with masculine cards, here is a great one, made with a fantastic stamp set from the annual catalogue, Sailing Home.

I used Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight cardstock and ink for my card. I stamped tone on tone anchors on one side of the Balmy Blue background layer. I adhered the background layer to my Balmy Blue card base using Dimensionals to give it extra texture.
The sailboat is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock, and layered on Misty Moonlight cardstock, cut 1/4 inch larger.

Using a 1/4 inch change in cardstock sizes makes great layers. I have used that size difference for my sailboat, sentiment and background pieces.

My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set, and I adhered it with Dimensionals as well.

It really is easy to create great handmade cards using just stamps, ink, and paper.
Simple Stamping for the win!
