That Was Unexpected

Mystery Stamping is a fun event that I host that starts with gathering your supplies. Various pieces of cardstock, Designer Series Paper, punched pieces or die cuts, embellishments, and fun!

Some people that attend this event like to prepare two sets of the supplies I share with them in the first clue. They then create a card that they think my clues will lead them to. This card caught them with an unexpected twist.
After stamping in a diagonal line across the card, we cut the piece of cardstock on the diagonal. That twist was rather different than what had been expected.

I used the Snowflake Wishes stamp set with Night of Navy and Pool Party ink. The sentiment is from Poinsettia Petals, and the card is embellished with a Pool Party Sheer Ribbon bow and Clear Rhinestones.

I made two more cards with this layout, one is portrait again, and the other is landscape. This same starting pieces were used for all cards, so you can choose the orientation you want.
Both of these cards are stamped with Pacific Point ink, and use the Prized Peony stamp set. The sentiments are from the Timeless Tulips and Sweet Strawberry stamp sets. They are embellished with a Pool Party bow and some Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

It is always fun to see how people interpret the clues for Mystery Stamping, and it is fun to see what they create with the starting pieces and no clues at all. This time the projects were very different, but all turned into lovely cards.
