Loving The Garden Lane

If you follow my blog posts, you know I love my Designer Series Paper! The Garden Lane DSP is one of my new favourites. I don’t think it is possible to make a card that isn’t beautiful if you start with this, and that is what I did today.

I made this card for the Fab Friday Challenge, here is the sketch banner.

I used the larger flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set, stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink. This is a fantastic stamp set in the Experience Creativity brochure and I love it’s pretty images and gorgeous font for the sentiments. I coloured my flower with Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. They are wonderful for easy and beautiful colouring. I cut the flower out with the Layering Circles dies, and a frame with the Stitched Shapes dies, in Blackberry Bliss card stock. My sentiment for this card is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink, on Soft Sea Foam card stock, then cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. I used some Linen Thread, a Braided Linen Trim bow and a Gold Faceted Gem to embellish my card.
Layered on my gorgeous DSP with a Mossy Meadow border and Soft Sea Foam card base, I love how my card turned out.
