A Beautiful Birthday for FabFriday

The FabFriday challenge is a colour challenge, and it is a beautiful combination of soft and bright. I love these colours together to make a beautiful birthday card. Here is the card I made for this challenge.

This is the banner for the challenge. Don’t you just love Flirty Flamingo with Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sea Foam?

My flower and leaf images are from the Healing Hugs stamp set. This sent has get well types of sentiments, but the images are wonderful for many occasions, including wishing someone a Happy Birthday. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, and stamped in Flirty Flamingo, layered on Flirty Flamingo card stock.
I had originally thought of mounting my flower on the square, but it was sitting on my table in a diamond orientation and I really liked how it looked, so I changed things up. I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Sea Foam because I couldn’t decide which I wanted. After I fussy cut them, 4 leaves seemed like a bit too much, so I trimmed off one of the Soft Sea Foam leaves, leaving 3 for my card. I fussy cut them because I wanted them to pop from the flower, and since I cut my flower to size, this was the solution. As you may know, fussy cutting is not my favourite thing, but I always like the look of it when it is done. And as is the case with most things, the more you do it, the comfortable you get with it. (Thanks Mom!!)
My Soft Sea Foam background is embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D folder, and layered on a Pear Pizzazz card base. I added some Clear Rhinestones for some birthday bling.
