A New Challenge For Me

If you follow my blog, you have seen cards that I post to various challenges, and today I’m playing along with a new one. I have seen cards posted to the Fab Friday Challenge in the past, but this is the first time I decided to play along, and it is a great one. Here is the card I made to share.

The challenge gave us a frame sketch to kick start our creativity. Here is the banner for it.

I have been making cards with the gorgeous Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, and some of sheets actually give you flower frames, so they were perfect for this challenge.
I cut out one of the beautiful frames with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, and then cut another frame from Grapefruit Grove card stock. To adhere the frames, I flipped them over, placed one inside the other, then put snail on the whole thing. They stayed together nicely as I flipped them back and adhered them to my card. I mounted them on another piece of the DSP (the back of the frame sheet, which provided a neutral background with just a little shading for interest. My sentiment is from the Humming Along stamp set, stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink, and my card base is also Grapefruit Grove. I used glue dots to add some of the orange coloured sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment to finish off my card.
This was a terrific challenge to join, and I had fun making this card. Why not use the sketch above to create a beautiful card yourself? You can get any of the supplies you need from my online store - just click on any of the images below and you will go right there. Happy Stamping!
