Out In The Wild

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week that I am wild about!! I love the layout and decided to be wild with it. Okay, changing from landscape to portrait may not be all that wild, but I wanted tall trees for my jungle so decided to switch it up a bit.

Here is the sketch for this challenge.

This is a fantastic layout, and perfect to showcase my rhino. I love the Animal Outing stamp set, and it is so easy to cut out these wild animals with the coordinating Thinlits. They also give me a great reason to colour, and our Stampin’ Blends are the perfect tool for this. I used the Woodland TIEF to emboss tall trees and to be a bit different, I embossed on vellum. I hadn’t done this for a while, but was tidying up my craft space recently and found some other patterns I had made a while ago, and it reminded me of the great look that this creates.

The only tricky bit when working with vellum is that when you adhere it to your card, you don’t want the adhesive to show through. To do this successfully, simply put some Multipurpose Liquid Glue on your Silicone Craft Sheet and apply a thin coat to the vellum using a sponge.

My greeting is from the Hand Delivered stamp set. This is a Host set, only available to purchase with any $200 order. It has a beautiful font for the sentiments, and this one fit nicely in the Classic Label Punch and was perfect for the circle on my card. I decided to pop it up a bit with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. These are perfect for small bits that you want to ‘pop’.
