Share What You Love

The Global Design Project challenge this week is to use this sketch to inspire our cards.

I really like working with sketches because they can be very flexible - you can use any stamp set and colours you like, you can turn them, and they are a fun way to be inspired to make different cards with a single layout style. I decided to turn the sketch on it's side for my card.

I was using the new In Colours the last few days, and am really falling in love with Blueberry Bushel. Today I decided to pair it with Flirty Flamingo, a retiring In Colour that is making a come back in our Colour Refresh!
I also decided to use the Love What You Do stamp set, part of the Share What You Love suite because I love participating in the Global Design Project challenge each week, and I have always loved sharing my stamping with others.
I stamped the background for the flower image in Flirty Flamingo, and the flowers in Blueberry Bushel. I used a scrap of card stock to mask the bottom of the flowers as I didn't want them to go below the background image.

I embossed the background of my card with the Basket Weave Textured Impression Embossing Folder, but I didn't want it to look like a basket, so I used my piece of card stock "upside down". I like this for a different look.

My final embellishment is a bow made with the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

I love what I do, and I love sharing it with you. I hope you enjoy it.
