Laws of Attraction

I am a huge believer in the laws of attraction. I have seen the positive effect it has had in my life in many small and very big ways. I live by this and have reaped the rewards of gratitude that go along with this life philosophy. Today reflects more results of this.
Last night I was listening to a video by Kylie Bertucci, an Australian demonstrator. She got talking about the Global Design Project group and the challenges they have each week. I have seen these many times, and have admired their work, but never thought to join their challenge . . . until last night. Something about listening to that video, drew me in, and made me determined to give it a go!
This morning I got up ready to hit the ground running and here I am. The current challenge is in the later stages, but that's okay, there is still time to join in. The theme this week is 'Show me the Sunshine'. When I read that, I thought yellow colour family. I love bright, sunny days, and yellows are the colours I most associate with that. Besides, if you follow my blog, you know that I have been trying to encourage Spring with my cards. This theme fits that perfectly.

The sunny yellow of Crushed Curry from the Colour Theory Designer Series Paper Stack along with bright and happy Bermuda Bay certainly says Here is the Sunshine.
Since this is the first time I have posted a card in the Global Design Project, I wanted to get it right. I tried a few different layouts to see which was the sunniest!

I played with different colours and shapes, but in the end I decided to keep it simple. Now I have some extra pieces on my work table waiting to become other sunny cards. No worries, I love this sentiment, so these pieces will make more beautiful hand made cards to use for #makeacard #sendacard
Sometimes keeping things simple really does make life beautiful.
