Birthday Banner for Global Design Project

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge for us this week. Here is the card I made for this week.

I designed my card to be almost exactly like the sketch. I had opened my pack of Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper and fell in love with all the gorgous patterns, but mostly the shimmery background on these papers. It is totally stunning in real life, although the camera doesn’t pick it up very well. This sketch gave me an opportunity to show off one of my favourite patterns in the pack. I love the Blueberry Bushel pods on this sheet, and pairing it with Merry Merlot for the banner struck a happy colour cord for me.
