Share What You Love

The Global Design Project this week is to use this sketch to inspire our cards. I really like working with sketches because they can be very flexible - you can use any stamp set and colours you like, you can turn them, and they are a fun way to be inspired to make different cards with a single layout style. I decided to turn the sketch on it's side for my card.

Sneak Peek Swap

On Saturday I posted one of the swaps I made for the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference. The second swap I made used supplies that I was sent to use as a Display Board Stamper for the conference. It was a tremendous honour to be a Display Board Stamper, and one I truly enjoyed. I would love to do this again at another Stampin' Up! event. Today's project is my second swap, and uses products that will be available on June 1 in the new annual catalogue.

An Eclectic Swap

In April I attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference in London, Ontario. Whenever Demonstrators get together we love to swap cards. It is a great way to meet other demonstrators, share ideas and see lots of creative projects. It is tons of fun! This was one of the cards I made to swap. I had 2 different cards, but the other one used brand new product that I had received as a Display Board Stamper, so I couldn't swap that one until mid-morning, after the big catalogue reveal! I knew I wouldn't want to miss out on early morning swapping, so I made a bunch of this card as well.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

That is a very familiar saying, and most years that is how it goes. This year has been a little different though. We didn't have too much rain in April around here . . . but we did have quite a bit of snow, and many areas had freezing rain and ice storms. Yikes! I sure hope that is finished now. In any case, there are spring flowers starting to bloom. I have seen crocuses, daffodils and some tulips. My neighbour has some beautiful pansies by the front door, and some of the flowering trees are almost ready to burst open. I love spring, and all the fresh new growth and energy that comes with it. My card today celebrates spring with 3 beautiful flowers bursting open!

Laws of Attraction

The theme for the Global Design Project this week is ‘Show Me the Sunshine’. Since I have been posting cards to help encourage Spring to arrive, this fits in beautifully.
How did I end up posting in the Global Design Project challenge you ask? Well, you will have to check out my blog post to read more about this new adventure!

This one is for the birds!

The birds have returned from their winter down south, and they are hungry after all that travel. Many mornings, and even through the day there is a line up at the bird feeder on my back deck! I enjoy the chickadees through the winter, but I love to see the other birds return in the Spring.
My card for today is definitely spring inspired, and for the birds who are back and setting up their summer home!

The Birthday Splurge

When it comes to celebrating birthdays, it is nice to go all out. Of course we don't want to break the bank to do that, but we want the recipient of the birthday greetings to know that we took the time, and made the effort to select the exact right thing, and spared little or no expense for them. I have spent countless hours looking for the ultimate birthday celebration, and I think I have finally found it.
